Directions: For a hair and scalp treatment, warm the oil gently in a double-boiler or pot, making sure it does not get too hot. You should be able to comfortably put your finger into the oil. You can add one of our Ayurvedic herbs to the oil at this point. Mix into a thinnish paste and apply liberally over your scalp and hair. Wrap with clingwrap, cover with a scarf or hat and leave it for 1 hour. Rinse with warm water and follow with a gentle shampoo.
For a skin treatment, warm the oil gently as described above, and add suitable herbs. Tulsi, neem and reetha are good for problem skin. Rose, hibiscus and lotus flower are good for rejuvenating skin. You can either do spot treatments or apply the mixture as a face pack. You could also do your hair, scalp, face and neck all at once!
